Takin Preserve

Takin was recognized as the national animal of Bhutan in 2005 due to its strong association with the history of Bhutan. Takin Preserve is located at Motithang, a 15-minute drive from Thimphu Town. It is a flourishing land a short distance from the BBS tower perspective of Thimphu. An enclosed area in the woods away from the settlement houses herds of Takin and some other rare animals, such as deer, Sambar, and Serow. It is without a doubt a must-visit spot for wildlife voyagers and lovers hoping to see something unique during their vacation in Bhutan.
